Saul Bass - The Solar Film: A Short Film on Solar Energy (1980)
Beautifully shot and thought provoking public information film by Saul Bass about the uses of Solar Energy. It shows man's interaction with the Sun throughout the ages and uses animated sequences to tell the story of man's discovery and depletion of various energy resources. Shows solar houses, components of passive solar systems, and huge fields of reflecting panels that are used for large-scale energy collection. Please note that the introductory voice over by Eames Demetrius, grandson of Charles and Ray Eames, finishes shortly into the movie.
